About our Ingredients

We work with and source all food ingredients from reputable south west suppliers. All food ingredients & suppliers are thoroughly researched & tested for taste, freshness and quality.

Ciabatta
•Baked fresh each day to a little italy secret recipe (just like Nonna used to make).
•Fresh yeast Italian flour for taste, texture and a source of fibre.
•No artificial colours or preservatives.
•Made with olive oil.
•Reduced salt.
•No added sugar.

Pizza Dough
•We make our dough daily to our own developed recipe.
•Made with olive oil.
•Each ball is rolled by hand and rolled out traditionally to order on marble.
•Baked on a marble shelf to give a thin and crispy style pizza.
Chicken Breast
•Only British whole meat breast fillet. Halal certified.
•Each breast fillet is diced.
•Marinated & coated to a special little italy recipe for tenderness & juiciness.

Tuna
•We use dolphin friendly tinned tuna preserved in sunflower oil. We only use small tins and do not keep any opened tuna overnight.

Anchovy
•Our Anchovies are of the highest quality and preserved in sunflower oil to retain their beautiful colour and taste.

Garden Fresh Salads (lettuce, red onion, tomato)

Lettuces
•All salads of Fancy Lettuce, Kos & Red Frill, for taste and fresh crunch. Sometimes include spinach, and rocket depending on availability.
•All are locally grown, no sprays are used.
•Picked whole, the day before and delivered still growing, to stores where they are hand leaved and washed before your salad is prepared.

Red and White Onions
•Are used for flavour, colour and a little natural sweetness.
•They are the best Onion to be eaten raw and will not give Onion breath.
•Onions are purchased whole & hand sliced.
•Onions are from the garlic family and are believed to have similar health benefits.

Tomatoes
•Only rich red vine Cherry Tomatoes are used.
•Our Tomatoes are purchased whole & hand sliced in house.
•Fresh Tomatoes are believed to be good for the heart. They are high in lycopene and antioxidants.

Seasonal Mushrooms
•Fresh Closed Cup, Portobello & Flathead mushrooms are crushed and sautéed with Olive Oil and a little salt, pepper, rosemary and thyme.
•Add them for that healthy earthy taste.

Parma Ham
•Only wafer thin proscuitto ham from the parma region is used.

Pineapple
•From Thailand: pineapple for that sweet fruity feeling.
•Squeezed by hand to stop your pizza getting too soggy!

Cornish Brie
•Our local soft creamy Brie is used to give that smooth satisfying taste.

Sauces
•All our Sauces have been selected to compliment our Pizzas and are prepared fresh daily.
•We season and taste our sauces before we serve them on our Pizzas.
•Sauces are made fresh each day in store, using fresh local garden ingredients, such as fresh garlic, oregano, tomatoes.

Cooking
•We use marble slabs in our oven cooking to give your pizza that unique home cooked Italian flavour.
•All our Pizzas are created and cooked to order – never made in advance or pre-cooked.
•Our ‘extra toppings’ menu enables you to customise your Pizzas with your choice of ingredients.

Packaging
•Our packaging is simple, and paper-based, so as to leave little impact on our planet.
•All brown paper based packaging is from sustainable wood forests and uses water-based inks.
•Were trying to use recyclable packaging, please be a planet partner and recycle it.
